Website globalization marketing study

MarketingSherpa and Byte Level Research have published a study about how marketing execs view web globalization. (They are providing the report for free until April 11, 2007, afterwards it will be available in the Global by Design members portal.)

According to the report close to 16% of US respondents said they offer some content in Spanish. I would have expected this number to be much higher, given the increasing influence of Spanish-speaking communities in the US. I believe there is much growth potential in serving this particular sector of the population—and it’s not just a matter of translating site content into Spanish.
